Proficiency Testing

The Energy Geochemistry Laboratory participates in proficiency testing utilizing programs developed by outside organizations in order to assess laboratory performance on various sample types.  One of these programs is the Coal and Ash Sampling Proficiency Exchange (CANSPEXTM).  Analytical results for these samples, usually performed quarterly, are provided in the links below.  The file names refer to the year and quarter in which the test samples were analyzed.

Quality Control

The Energy Geochemistry Laboratory analyzes numerous internationally recognized standards as well as in-house standards to assure that instrumentation and methods are operating satisfactorily. The charts linked below show the results for Quality Control standards from the prior two fiscal years. These charts are presented as percent recovery without any quality control limits in order to plot a range of standards that may have varying levels of associated precision.
