Undiscovered Gas Resources in the Upper Cretaceous Tuscaloosa and Woodbine Formations, Western Gulf Province of the Gulf Coast Region, Louisiana and Texas, Fact Sheet 2006-3146: Using a geology-based assessment methodology, the USGS estimated a mean of 20.8 trillion cubic feet of undiscovered natural gas [F95 value of 9.8 TCFG; F5 value of 35.4 TCFG], and a mean of 0.60 billion barrels of undiscovered natural gas liquids [F95 value of 0.25 BBNGL; F5 value of 1.11 BBNGL] in the Western Gulf Province of the Gulf Coast Region, Louisiana and Texas.

Assessment of Undiscovered Oil Resources in the Devonian- Mississippian Bakken Formation, Williston Basin Province, Montana and North Dakota, 2008

Using a geology-based assessment methodology, the U.S. Geological Survey estimated mean undiscovered volumes of 3.65 billion barrels of oil, 1.85 trillion cubic feet of associated/dissolved natural gas, and 148 million barrels of natural gas liquids in the Bakken Formation of the Williston Basin Province, Montana and North Dakota.
